Destiny Hand
Destiny is the Director of Student Orientation and Family Engagement. She received her B.F.A. from Columbus State University in Columbus, GA. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a Master’s in Higher Education Student Affairs. Destiny has fallen in love with the amount of support and opportunities provided by Georgia State University to the point she is a student once again in the Educational Policy Studies Ph.D. program. Outside of work, Destiny loves exploring all the amazing food Atlanta has to offer, spending time with family and seeing life as a kid again through her son’s eyes.
If her life were a song, it would be “Just Fine” by Mary J. Blige.

Evan Owens
Evan is the Coordinator for Orientation Student Leader Training and Development at Georgia State University in Atlanta and holds a B.A. and a Master's in Communications from the institution. As a certified Life Coach proficient in DISC, Evan is deeply committed to fostering student success. His diverse interests include playing golf, reading non-fiction, and exploring new destinations. Whether navigating academic or golf courses, Evan approaches each challenge with enthusiasm. He balances his professional life with cherished moments with family.
If his life had a soundtrack, it would be the upbeat "Let's Go" by Calvin Harris feat Ne-Yo, reflecting Evan's energetic spirit and commitment to encouraging others on their growth journeys.

Andie Jairam
Andie serves as a Coordinator for Student and Family Engagement where he is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections between students, families and the university community. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, and went on to complete his Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of Buffalo in Buffalo, NY.
With proven expertise in curriculum development, program evaluation, and staff development, Andie is passionate about creating student-centered initiatives that promote engagement, retention, and academic success. His commitment to building inclusive and supportive environments has made a lasting impact on the students and families he serves. Outside of his professional role, Andie is an accomplished artist and advocate for African history and technology, specializing in Afrofuturism.
When he’s not working or creating, you can find him relaxing to his favorite song, "I Wish" by Carl Thomas.

Christle Murphy
Christle is the Logistics Coordinator for New Student Orientation, she enjoys organization and all things neat and tidy. Christle has worked in the field of higher education for over a decade and is passionate about being a great role model to each student that she encounters and assisting students with achieving their goals through higher education.

Charles Huston
Charles serves as the Administrative Coordinator of New Student Orientation.
