- Register your family member or any other guest who plan to attend orientation with you. Students can bring one guest this year to comply with social distancing.
- Thoroughly review the orientation withdrawal policies before registering.

Each student must pay a New Student Orientation registration fee, which covers meals and other expenses. Each student may register a single guests due to social distancing, and the additional person must pay a separate registration fee. *Note: Scholarships and financial aid will not cover these fees.
Georgia State offers three different formats for New Student Orientation, each of which covers the same information. The format options available to each student are based on student type (whether you’re an incoming freshman or transfer student) and the semester you plan to start classes. Please note, Orientation Fees are not refundable, but we can provide you a credit for a future date.
*The registration fee does not cover the cost of travel accommodations for parents, family or other guests. They are not required to stay overnight, but those who would like to should contact a local hotel to make a reservation for accommodations. Children under three years old do not pay the registration fee.
You may reschedule your orientation session if it is more than three days before your reserved date. Go into your admissions status check to cancel your current date and select a new date. Your payment for the prior orientation will be applied to the new date.
If you must withdraw your attendance at orientation, you must do so at least three full business days prior to the scheduled date. If you meet the three-day withdrawal deadline, your payment for the prior orientation will be applied to the new date.If you withdraw or cancel fewer than three full business days prior to your scheduled orientation date, you will not receive a credit. No partial refunds will be granted.
Call each hotel’s reservations office for Georgia State’s special rate. *Note: Rates listed below may have changed, and additional taxes or parking fees may apply. Students should wait until after their orientation date has been confirmed to make travel and accommodation arrangements.
