Become an Orientation Leader

"During the summer of 2023, I had a great time working as an orientation leader. I had the opportunity to gain many social skills. I was also able to help students with their questions and guide them well to begin their college life."

"Becoming an orientation leader has been one of my best summer experiences in my junior year because this allows me to push to further limits, to inspire one another, and to meet new people from diverse backgrounds. So far, I have made some new friends from different majors and year through my orientation experience. Because I am an international transfer student, I did not have the same orientation experience as normal first year students, so this experience allows me to experience the new ways of orientation by making a difference, whether it be through showing incoming students the location of their advisement office, or their first college class, or my student life at GSU, or even speaking with other OLs, OL leads, and our supervisors to see how their days are going."

"My experience as an Orientation Leader has been amazing. I have gotten to do what I really like to do and that is to work with students to ensure that they know how to become more involved and be a better student here at GSU. I love doing this job because working with my team and the students to serve the student body and help ensure that new students to the college experience and students who have been in college for a few years have a better and fun educational experience while at GSU."
