Freshman Convocation

Freshman Convocation is a formal induction ceremony to welcome all new freshmen to Georgia State. Join Dr. Becker as he officially inducts the new freshman class into the campus community through a medallion ceremony and recitation of the Freshman Pledge. Bryan Stevenson, author of “Just Mercy”, which has been selected as the Fall 2017 First-Year Book, will be the keynote speaker. Festivities continue afterward with a Block Party for the Class of 2021 and their families.
Panther Welcome Block Party
4 – 6 p.m. | Hurt Park
The Panther Welcome Block Party is an interactive event designed to welcome new students and their parents to campus as well as celebrate the beginning of their college careers.

STUDENTS!  Sign up to learn about FREE technology resources you have thanks to your student tech fee.  We’ll cover how to download your FREE copies of Office 365.  You’ll learn about FREE additional workshops and educational resources such as Lynda.com.  Want to use a computer on campus or use a video camera we can tell you where to go!
